 Ali Abbas Ali is a Junior at Beverly Hills High School, and a member of the school's wrestling team. More info to follow. Murtaza Abbas Murtaza is Ali's younger brother and a freshman at Beverly Hills High. More info to follow. David Achvan David is a Sophomore at the Beverly Hills High School. More info to follow.
Justin Brezhnev Justin Brezhnev is a sophomore at Beverly Hills High School and is an active Judo/SAMBO wrestler with the Dynamo Club. He loves to wrestle and has been for many years. As the son of Sensei Brezhnev, Justin has a heavy load to carry, serving both as an instructor for the club, and the practice dummy for sensei Brezhnev. Whatever Justin learned, he put them in good use, winning the 2007 USA Sambo Open and becoming the top junior SAMBO wrestler in the country, and winning more medals in various Judo tournaments. Justin is currently the top ranked member of the club (in both Judo and SAMBO), and hopefully will represent the club (and the country) in many of the worldwide tournaments. Justin is looking forward to gaining access to the Sambo World Championship and representing USA. His rank is Ikkyu, which is the 1st Degree Brown Belt and is working hard on acquiring his black belt.
For Justin, the Dynamo Club is both a way for him to pursue his passion for wrestling and an excellent extracurricular in which he demonstrates leadership and dedication.
Mike Cernovich Mike is one of our adult members, and an aspiring MMA fighter. When not training (in boxing, jujitsu, weights, yoga, crazy football things), he spends his time with his tennis-pro wife and his cute dog. Oh yeah, Mike (and the Mrs.) are also lawyers in their spare time. On weekends Mike instruct us on boxing and MMA. Tal Dahan Tal is a captain of Beverly Hills High Wrestling team, and junior at the school. More info to follow. Mathew Flagel Matt (Bagel) is a captain of Beverly Hills High Wrestling team and a sophomore at the school. More to follow. Alex Gabbay Alex is a student at Beverly Hills High School and came with training in Jujitsu. More info to follow. Mathew Grubman Mathew, aka "Ginger", is a student at Beverly Hills High School, and a member of the school's wrestling, water polo and swim team. More info to follow. Irwin Huang Irwin is a student at Beverly Hills High School and a brown belt in Judo. More info to follow. Mark Ignatov Mark, the "Spartan Child", is a 7th grade and son of DYNAMO coach Peter Ignatov. More info to follow. Shawn Khodadad Shawn is a student at Beverly Hills High School. More info to follow.  Klar Kuo Klar is a sophomore at Beverly Hills High School. He started wrestling as a freshman because he wanted some excursions in between water polo and swimming seasons, and after a year wrestling at the varsity 215 lb spot he was hooked. Now wrestling and Judo are his passion, and over the summer he went to China to see the Shaolin Temple and real kung-fu. After winning 3rd in the California State Judo Championship, Klar is a 2nd degree Brown Belt. So he is wrestling against many older, tougher opponents. This is good, because Klar joined Dynamo Club to stay sharp with wrestling and to get stronger and mentally tougher.
Justin Kuo Justin is a 6th grader at the Horace Mann School in Beverly Hills. Even though he is club's youngest, he has done well, winning 2nd at California State Judo Championship, and 3rd at Dr. Z's Memorial Judo Tournament. It's hard to do because he is always the first one for Dynamo to compete (due to his age). In spare time Justin plays video games and get hugged/mugged by his older brother/dad/sensei Brezhnev and other club members. Sky Lucci Sky is a student at Beverly Hills High School. Elliot Pourtavosi Elliot is a student at Beverly Hills High School. More info to follow. Bagus Rahadian Bagus is a student and wrestler at Beverly Hills High School. More info to come.
Josh Rezvani Josh is a freshman at Beverly Hills high school. As a younger, newer member of the club, Josh has shown significant improvement in endurance, forms and footwork, and we look forward to seeing Josh perform during the high school wrestling season and in some of the Judo/SAMBO competitions.  Jimmy Shlomof Jimmy is a student at Beverly Hills High School. He is the varsity 103 lb wrestler for the high school's wrestling team. More info to follow. Joey Schwartz Joey is a Junior at Beverly Hills High School, and is one of the light heavyweight of the club. More info to come. Josh Simon Josh's info to come soon.
Romeo Soofiani Romeo Soofiani is a super heavyweight judoka and sambo wrestler for the Dynamo Club team. He is also the varsity heavyweight for the Beverly Hills High School Folkstyle team. His focuses are on three things: winning competitions, training hard, and excelling in his studies . Romeo also enjoys culinary adventures with his Master Italian chef father, Roberto Soofiani, on the weekends.
Vitaliy Staseyev Vitaliy is a sophomore at the Los Angeles Community College majoring in Psychology. He will be transfering to Cal State Northridge soon. Vitaliy joined Dynamo Club because he always wanted to learn more about martial arts and SAMBO, and his maternal grandfather, also with the last name Staseyev, was a great SAMBO Champion in the Soviet Union. Kevin Youssian Kevin is a student a Beverly Hills High and a member of school's wrestling team. More info to follow. |
