April 18. The following is an excerpt of a letter from sensei Brezhnev, a member of the American Amateur SAMBO Federation's executive committee, to the organization about the upcoming US Championships, and the inclusion of Combat SAMBO into the competition.
Dear AASF (American Amateur SAMBO Federation),
Just 25 days before the openings of the main event for the Pan American SAMBO community. We
are looking forward to have a very good time and a high level of the MMA performance, during the XV
USA Open/Pan American Championships. We believe, it would be very beneficial for SAMBO, to
have the SAMBO Combat competition at USA Open, in May . We are looking forward to have Fedor
Emelianenko, Oleg Taktarov, Bas Rutten, Former Russian President-Vladimir Putin, the DYNAMO
and other "INTERNATIONAL MMA and COMBAT COMMUNITY" with us. We believe that it would
help the FIAS and AASF to promote SAMBO and SAMBO Combat in USA and over the world.
